Drug-Free Communities Grant

Through a collaborative coalition effort, Bartholomew County Substance Abuse Council applied for a Drug-Free Communities grant in the spring of 2018. This effort was successful and Bartholomew County was awarded the Drug-Free Communities grant for 5 years. Funding for this project is provided by the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The purpose of this 5 year effort is to strengthen collaboration among community coalitions and organizations to help build a safe, healthy, and drug free community together. This project supports the community’s efforts to prevent and reduce youth substance use and abuse. This will be a collaborative effort among all of the coalitions, organizations, agencies, businesses, and community members in Bartholomew County.
